About History
The Llangwm Literary Festival is offering a diverse selection of local and internationally-known writers. Combining the theme of Womens Suffrage with travel, the festival is showcasing WanderWomen. Joanna Penberthy, the first female Bishop of the Church in Wales and Bishop of St Davids, will be talking God, Girl Power and her love of Quantum Physics; Phoebe Smith, editor of Wanderlust and energetic vegetarian version of Bear Grylls will be telling us why small is sometimes better when it comes to mountains and running a workshop on the secrets of travel writing. Dervla Murphy who blazed a trail on her bicycle travelling from Dublin to India will be crossing the Irish sea to focus on her latest books on Israel and Palestine. Continuing the same there, the rugby club will be hosting a session of Poems and Ballads in English, Welsh and any other chosen language.
