About History

Sunday, July 25, saw the Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland in association with Narberth Rugby Club present their Sunday Night Fever charity extravaganza in aid of Cancer Research Wales. Around 400 people attended to enjoy the experience and were rewarded by first-class musical performances from Ella Guru , a local band from Tenby, Sorted a Ska tribute band from Fishguard and, headlining the show, The Bee Gees Experience . Ella Guru opened the show with a polished set covering several genres of popular music before passing the stage onto Sorted who really got the crowd jumping with energetic renditions of covers from the original nutty boys, Madness , together with music from other Ska and Two-Tone favourites including Bad Manners The Specials and The Beat . Finally, just as the sun was starting to set, the stage was lit up by The Bee Gees Experience, a trio from the Midlands, who really got the Otters ground rocking by performing a very professional set of memorable songs penned by the Gibb brothers. Dressed in their white stage suits and with Barry s hallmark falsetto voice ringing out, it could have been the Bee Gees themselves!
